• 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Preheat oven to 325. Cream sugars and butter; add eggs one at a time. Mix well. Blend in oil and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Roll into a ball and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. You can also roll out and use cookie cutters for decorated sugar cookies. Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until slightly browned. Do not overcook! Cool on cookie sheet and enjoy and every bite!
